adjective: having the quality of softening or soothing the skin.

You may have seen my posts on social media saying my products are filled with lots of emollients. But what exactly is an emollient? It sounds complicated but it is actually just a fancy term for "having the quality of softening or soothing the skin." The more you think about it, emollients are in our everyday lives from lip balm, lotion, and creams.

To be even more specific, I have all natural emollients in my ingredients list including: coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, grape seed oil, beeswax, lanolin, candelilla wax, cocoa seed butter, pomegranate seed oil and tocopherol (vitamin E). These all have the properties to deeply penetrate and soften the skin; all properties of an emollient.

I took about a year to put together these ingredients and test to make sure they all worked well together, and gave the ultimate hydration / softening abilities once applied to the lips. Next time you hear or see the word emollient, you will now know it just means a substance that deeply hydrates and moisturizes the skin.
